Art Samberg's profile

TAE Technologies - Clean Energy for the Future

A successful financial entrepreneur and executive, Arthur J. “Art” Samberg donated a $25 million gift challenge to Columbia University which has led to the creation of 20 endowed professorships. He obtained his undergraduate degree in aeronautics and astronautics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Art Samberg at one point served as chairman of the board of TAE Technologies.

TAE Technologies, formerly Tri Alpha Energy, was launched in 1998 to create a safe and commercially affordable source of energy through fusion power. This form of clean energy generation will help deter the effects of climate change and pave the way for global energy independence. To attain this goal, TAE is committed to a clean, safe, and carbon-free undertaking.

There would be no use or creation of plutonium, uranium, or other fissile fuel materials. The fuel to this end would be abundant and extensively available throughout the world. TAE has chosen the hydrogen-boron combination as the fusion fuel. Non-radioactive and easily available in nature, boron that can fill a 55-gallon drum can produce sufficient electricity to energize as much as 200,000 homes annually.
